In the solemnity of his prayer, the man bows respectfully before the ancient tombstone, symbolically bridging the gap between the past and the present. The special place, the tomb of Rav Hershel Lisker - Tzvi Hersh Friedman in Liska Jewish Cemetery, is a kind of gateway to the Eternal, where prayers soar and meet in faith. 


Each day, thousands of faithful individuals visit this holy site, experiencing the ongoing presence of Rebbe Tzvi Hersh Friedman’s spirit, which envelops those who pray for a message of hope and faith. Requests, wishes, blessings. In prayer, words transcend sound, becoming heartfelt emotions and deep desires that travel from the soul to the divine presence.


The core of Orthodox Jewish prayers often includes fervent requests for blessings that safeguard the innocence of children and provide healing for those suffering from illness. The cemetery stands as a guardian of faith and tradition, where centuries of respect and contemporary prayers are harmoniously united. 


Yeshaya Steiner, the Kerestir Rebbe, was known to come here occasionally to offer prayers and request blessings at the tomb of his revered mentor, Hershel Lisker. His teacher helped the Kerestir Rebbe's community to hold fast to their traditions and persevere in faith when it was needed most. In this revered moment, the man's heartfelt prayer weaves together the past, present, and future, encapsulating the profound hopes and desires of the entire community.
